why i will be turning down the social invites that come my way.

Arrived on Australian soil this morning, bleary-eyed, bloated & smelling much in need of a shower. Ah basic human dignity, clearly I frown upon you.

Got fetched at the (pearly) gates, & the pa held up a napkin with my name scribbled across it. It was endearing in an entirely oh-lord-look-casually-this-way-so-as-not-to-seem-associated kind of way.

But anyway, this is the part where the title of said blog renders itself true. My package from amazondotcom arrived, & waited dutifully for me, so I introduced it to more friends of its kind I purchased in Manila. The result:

eternal mindf*cks! SQUEEEEEE!

& because I am so inclined, I will list each title & author, starting now:
1) The Bloody Chamber - Angela Carter
2) Survivor - Chuck Palahniuk
3) Rant - Chuck Palahniuk
4) A Pocketbook of Short Stories
5) Sputnik Sweetheart - Haruki Murakami
6) The Unbearable Lightness of Being - Milan Kundera
7) No One Belongs Here More Than You - Miranda July
8) Veronika Decides To Die - Paolo Coelho
9) Eleven Minutes - Paolo Coelho
10) The Alchemist - Paolo Coelho
11) Fight Club - Chuck Palahniuk

Mind you, I've read half of these titles already, but it just so happens that now I OWN THEMMM.

I need shuteye.

bawww

In the event that you viewed my last post & noticed the (pseudo)Venetian man standing lovingly beside me, you might have guessed at my being in Vegas. Or Venice. Or Franco-Prussian war.

Had you guessed Vegas, you would've been vaguely accurate, like writing "maybe" on a yes or no question paper is vaguely accurate. I was in the Vegas of the East, betches... Hello Macau!

It has taken me roughly a week to get this information across because I have this annoying need to upload pictures along with blog entries to justify to my doubting heart that I was actually in said place with said people partaking in said activities. Sorting, culling & crisping pictures is a DRAINING & time-consuming process however, & I feel that these hands are too weary for such an undertaking. For shame!

But here - one visual representation of me being a tourist & posing with the Guan-Yin statue:

It was fantastic, much like sucking your thumb in public without receiving disapproving stares is fantastic! We indulged in FOOD, culture, casinos & more FOOD. Obviously this little bear was happy. Anyway, I'd like to be a little more thorough & anecdotal with that experience, so maybe later, with much more images for optical assault!

Anyway,
I hate asking asking asking for favours, but I do implore your support for my application for 'The Best Job In The World' competition. Your view & rating counts in my heart, & if you don't mind giving it, then my eternal gratitude is with you. As an added bonus, you can even have my sister.

But anyway, here: please & thank you.

Am still in Manila. I head back to 'Stralya on Tuesday, & I am already having withdrawals from this place. They withdrawals are physically manifesting as little red bumps on my skin. On second thought though & a highly more probable one at that, aforesaid withdrawal might actually be ant bites & mosquito bites. OH DENGUE FEVER, HOW YOU TEASE ME SO.

No, i'm increasingly sad about having to return. While I do miss Australia & my mommy & my daddy & my sister (although this one perhaps not so much) & all my mother truckers & my room & the inspiring sense of road rage I have from driving the car,

I really don't want to go back just yet :( Bah.

Posted a new video tonight starring the talented Dave, whose permission I did not receive in starring him. AHAHA, I am an excellent human being. It's simple, yes, but I do have to start somewhere in this supposed return to the internets world. Whatever, I had fun:

Yours til Niagara falls,

Totally had me my own personal singing stud on schmalentines day.
I send my belated love out.

quoting

The fact that they loved each other was merely proof that the fault lay not in themselves, in their behaviour or inconstancy of feeling, but rather in their incompatibility: he was strong and she was weak.

But when the strong were too weak to hurt the weak, the weak had to be strong enough to leave.

(I'm reading Kundera's The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Gorgeous)

asbestos, but not really.

Much like most human beings feel the compulsion to pee regularly, I of the non-human variety, feel the same compulsion to declare that I've been playing with final cut pro again & it is glorious. This video's intended recipient is not youtube, but something far greater... like the sum of all parts is greater than one part. Like analogies that actually make sense are greater than the ones I employ.

I like conversations:

Anyway,
the following pictures will illustrate me doing what I do best, & in this instance, its not eating. Eating only comes second to being really attractive, okay! Included in images is kuya, which in Philippiniminienimeisy means older brother. Let it be said that I own no male siblings (except for the days Isabelle is not on her lady cycle... gross, I know, BUT OH I WENT THERE.)

/convoluted words end here

yee to the haw haw

This is Kate & she is my oldest friend.

By oldest, I do not mean "most ancient" as I do have friends more on the dying end of the spectrum than her measly twenty. By oldest, I mean I knew her since diapers adorned my butt & her butt. Not the same diaper, mind you, because a) it's unhygienic, & b) this derriere would never have fit into her size!

Anyway, had a blast partying down with ze locals... all of whom were strangers to me. But you know, several colourful fluids later & terrible limb flailing that resembled cardiac arrest more than actual dancing... we might just say that the sense of camaraderie... it come aready(rie)! (holy mutha trucka, that was the worst pun i've ever had the pleasure of stringing together.)

Forget the past second your eyes glossed over that sentence actually existed, okay?

There are far odder pictures in the vault... for instance, swinging from flimsy pieces of rope with flowers attached, as well as terrible impersonations of rogue animals. They'll stay in the vault for a reason.

a lame, loosely considered post

One thing I love about living abroad is that the novelty of being back home never actually wanes. I still get rattled about considering myself ever driving in these roads, I still get excited about all the (cheap&delicious) food parading around for my consumption, & it's always a thrill to touch knees with the faces i've left behind.

I liiiiiike being home. So much so that I just want to get the words out of my system & immortalised on blog without any semblance of wit or consideration for analogies. Just lame-ass "zomg hi i like it here".

Tough.

Caught up with the lovely Reanna & Pat. (sorry R, I don't recall yer youchoob link!)
Backstory: This absolutely sweet young thing, by the name of Patricia, wrote to me on the youtubes several months ago. She was intelligent & creative & humble, & naturally I jumped at the chance to partake in friendship with someone like that. The first time we met up, Pat brought along Reanna, who is equally as entertaining. & to make this world infinitely smaller, Pat & Reanna now attend the school I went to during my nine month stint here before moving to Australiaaa.

Anyway, next blog coming in... ten minutes. No joke. Butt-load of festive pictures from last night's rodeo-themed shindig to celebrate Kate's 20th birthtag! Who is Kate & what do we mean by butt-load? Stay tuned...
